Stay at Home and Read Gala

THE FRIENDS OF THE MT. LEBANON PUBLIC LIBRARY
INVITE YOU TO CELEBRATE THE LOVE OF READING
WITH OUR
2nd ANNUAL STAY AT HOME AND READ GALA!!

Just because we are in quarantine, doesn’t mean we can’t support our library while celebrating reading together!! So, select a book… or several…make a donation, and have a reading gala in your home!

Here is how it works:

When:  On Saturday, April 10, Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library will host its 2nd Annual Stay at Home and Read Gala. Instead of buying a ticket and going to an event, all you need to do is make a donation and enjoy your favorite book. Your donation will support the incredible programs, services, and materials at Mt. Lebanon Public Library.

Where: In the comfort of your own home, your own backyard, your own bed, or in your very own blanket fort.

How:  Just read! Read by yourself, with your whole family, share a book over Zoom with your grandchildren, even read to your dog or cat. Read for an hour or two or hunker down for a marathon all-day read!

Donate: Click on the donate button on this page to be directed to the Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Public Library donation page. Make a donation any time leading up to or on April 10. Donations start at just $5 to participate.

Share: On April 10, share a picture of yourself reading on the library’s Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram page (or email it to jacksonma@einetwork.net and we’ll post it for you). Camera shy? A picture of the book you're reading is fine!

Why: Since we can’t actually come together in person for a fundraising gala, let’s do it through social media! Think of this as the library's very own Seen Page! And don't forget to use hashtag #StayAtHomeAndRead.

Check out our Stay at Home and Read Outside Digital Book List for current and award-winning reads! The Library’s AXIS 360 collection contains some of the most in-demand books available now for you to access free with your Mt. Lebanon Public Library card.
