Details About this Service

Starting November 16th Friends of Mt. Lebanon Public Library are offering a volunteer run home delivery service to Mt. Lebanon residents that are unable to visit the library due to health concerns, mobility or transportation issues during the Covid-19 pandemic.

To participate in this service, you must:

  • Be a resident of Mt. Lebanon
  • Have an Allegheny County library card (if you do not you can call the library’s reference desk 412-531-1912 #3 and our librarians will help you obtain a card by telephone).
  • Be unable to physically come to the library due to health, mobility or transportation concerns.
  • Complete the Patron Delivery Waiver and return it to the library. You may download the form from here, complete it send it as an attachment to schultzl@einetwork.net or you may print it out and return it to the library via mail Mt. Lebanon Public Library 16 Castle Shannon Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA, Attn: Laurena Schultz or call us at 412-531-1912 #3 Reference Desk and we will send you a copy of the form.

Once the Friends have received your waiver you will be eligible to begin the service. You may call the library reference desk 412-531-1912 #3 for assistance in requesting items or you can use the online catalog to place requests.

A library staff member will call you to schedule a delivery time. Deliveries are scheduled Monday through Thursday 10 am- 12 pm.

A Friends volunteer will deliver the items, checked out on your account in sealed bag to a designated drop off spot. All designated drop off locations must be in safe dry place that does not require our volunteers to enter a building. If you would like to return items, we ask you to place them in plastic bag and leave them at the designated drop off spot.

All our deliveries must be contact free.

We will make every attempt to deliver your items on the scheduled day. However, there may be cancellations due to Covid-19 and/or weather conditions.
